The Framework
Built on a robust, future-ready Silverstripe framework, the platform combines performance with flexibility. We introduced a powerful product selector tool to help users quickly match with relevant services, funding and expertise. Navigation is simplified, content is conversational, and journeys are structured to support action – not overwhelm.
Behind the scenes, we integrated Microsoft identity services to streamline and secure internal user management within the CMS. This gives the Callaghan Innovation team a seamless, single sign-on experience and ensures alignment with government IT policies and protocols.
The Design
Visually, the site reflects Callaghan Innovation’s bold new rebrand – bringing together energy, focus and a distinctly New Zealand design language. Every detail, from typography to motion, is crafted to inspire confidence and make innovation feel accessible.
As a government agency, accessibility, security and compliance were essential. Our solution meets all key public sector requirements, while giving the Callaghan team the tools they need to continuously evolve the site, campaign by campaign.
Since launch, the site has already made it easier for thousands of New Zealand businesses to navigate the innovation ecosystem. But more importantly, it now reflects the ambition, energy and heart of the organisation behind it.
