HomePlus is a New Zealand-wide network of home improvement specialists who provide custom aluminium building solutions for the whole home.
As a nationwide franchise, it was important for HomePlus to build a clear and recognisable brand identity. They approached us to develop a distinctive brand identity that they could use for all their signage and other collateral.
HomePlus also needed a custom web solution to provide a plethora of information to both home owners and industry professionals.
HomePlus wanted to keep their existing logo and to use the colour black, so we worked with this to develop a distinctive, eye-catching brand. We added a red box around the logo so it would 'pop' on vehicle signage, and utilised this red, along with the black, to craft a powerful brand identity.
As a nationwide franchise, HomePlus needs to provide marketing materials to each franchisee. They asked us to develop these to be informative and to promote the HomePlus brand.
Key to providing information that is accessible and understandable for customers, was the use of icons, 3D illustrations, and infographics which illustrate the solutions and systems HomePlus offer.
Using the power of Silverstripe we were able to build a customised web solution for HomePlus. This included leveraging Silverstripe's subsite feature to manage a large number of products across multiple sites.
The HomePlus site needs to cater to three distinct audiences: consumers, industry professionals, and franchisees. A clean design with clear user journeys makes it easy for these disparate groups of people to find the information they need.
For consumers, we used large image galleries and ample space for text descriptions to showcase the wide range of high-quality products. This included the use of hotspot galleries so consumers can easily visually locate the category of product they are interest in.
Using Silverstripe to build beautifully responsive pages means that the HomePlus site, and its wealth of information, can be easily and conveniently accessed on any device. Special care was taken to ensure that the information on the website was just as accessible on a mobile phone as on a desktop.
HomePlus wanted a way to privately share information with their franchisees. The solution was to incorporate a franchisee dashboard into the HomePlus website.
Once they have logged on, franchisees have access to forums that let them know about new products and events, and can download key resources for franchisee use (pricelists, manuals, brochures, a library of images for franchisee use, and much more).
